Take the plunge into the clear waters and take long walks along the beach, enjoying the views of the sea.
Salinas de Pedra de Lume
The Salinas of the Pedra de Lume, located inside the crater of a volcano, are one of the main tourist attractions on the island of Sal. Enjoy the views and bathe in the salt water lagoon without going to the bottom. During bathing, avoid contact of water with the mouth and eyes as it may burn.
Admission costs € 5. For 1 €, you can take a fresh water bath after the experience. Massage treatments with salt are also available at an additional cost.
Buracona / Blue Eye
The Blue Eye is another of the great attractions of the island of Sal. It is a natural pool with turquoise waters and an underwater cave several meters deep, resulting from sea-ridges on the volcanic rock. The route to get to Buracona is somewhat rough and therefore it is advisable to bring comfortable walking shoes.
